Oliver Forbes-Turner was born in Westminster, London but grew up in Northumberland. He had three years schooling over the border in Scotland before returning to Northumberland to finish his education.

For five years Oliver worked as an outdoor pursuits instructor with physically and mentally disabled people. He assessed their individual needs and organised their activities for the week, which included sailing, canoeing, abseiling, horse riding and archery.

He subsequently moved to a large country estate in Northumberland overseeing its renovation. During this time he injured his back and consulted a local chiropractor who successfully treated him. This is where he saw the ‘light’ which led to his interest in Chiropractic and his change in career path.

Oliver is a qualified sailing instructor, obtaining his Royal Yachting Association certificate at Langs in Scotland. He is also a keen skier, mountain biker and walker. He is married to Ellis a psychologist and has two teenage daughters Nina and Erin.

During his five year study at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic Oliver became interested in the role of rehabilitation and it’s importance in the management of low back and neck pain. This area of research stimulated him enough to carry out his own investigation on the role of rehabilitation for spinal pain and he produced his dissertation on this topic. Oliver specialises in the treatment of shoulder problems and sports injuries. He has a keen interest in treating the “more mature” patient and care of the elderly.

Ashley Hall

Chiropody & Podiatry

Ashley was born in south-west London and in his earlier years took a keen interest in football, which first drew him towards the mechanics of the foot and lower limb. He now covers the full range of chiropody and podiatry, from routine foot care through to gait assessment and the prescription of custom orthotics.

Read full profile

Ashley was born in South West London and in his earlier years took a keen interest in football, which is what initially led to an interest in the podiatric field and in particular biomechanics. He attended Brighton University for his undergraduate degree, which after completion started his first post working in Watford at a specialist podiatry clinic providing routine podiatry care in the private sector.

After the best part of 2 years spent gaining vital experience in the private sector Ashley began working within the NHS as a band 5 podiatrist to continue his development. This where he began getting more exposure to complex patients with multiple needs including routine care, biomechanical assessment and treatment as well as nail surgery. During this time gaining experience and attending courses to further develop knowledge in the field of biomechanics and musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions he received a promotion to MSK Specialist role, which has enabled further development opportunities through training and studies as well as hands on experience.

Outside of work Ashley enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family and still enjoys playing and watching football. He is also a keen music fan coming from a family of musicians and regularly likes to watch live music whenever possible.

Through his experiences in both private and NHS in roles with a broad scope initially and most recently specialising with biomechanics and musculoskeletal conditions, Ashley has been able to gain well rounded exposure but has found the most job satisfaction from the relationships that are built with patients and friendly atmosphere that is provided in the private sector so has a strong desire to continue in this pathway.

Ashley works on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
