Maria Schlott was born in Leipzig, Germany and went to school in her hometown before moving to Bournemouth to study Chiropractic.
Maria’s father is a nutritionist and her mother a general practitioner and initially she wanted to study medicine but after being treated by a Chiropractor for her long standing back pain she decided to train as a Chiropractor at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth. Whilst studying, Maria worked in a care home for people with Downs syndrome and has an excellent understanding for people with special needs. Maria graduated from the 5 year course obtaining her Master of Chiropractic with Merit.
Passionate about animals and outside activities, Maria has been active in the Equestrian sport since she was 8 years old and has studied the animal Chiropractic course at the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic and is also able to treat pets and horses. Apart from dressage training with her horse, she is a keen snow boarder in the winter holidays and loves to explore the English countryside.
Having suffered from chronic back pain herself, Maria knows how important a well functioning body and back are for a healthy life style and is delighted to help people of any age with back and joint pains.
